Can I go to the release of 10.5 and not buy? I dont want to buy 10.5 because my dad will be getting it from ADC but I wanted a shirt... can I just get a shirt and leave?

That's for your Dad's Mac. You're still supposed to buy a separate copy for your Mac. So just do it and get a T-Shirt.
