I have an old 3Gen Ipod whos screen is broken; and battery is pretty much shot... but i can still use it as an external Harddrive...

So can i put all of my movies on this Harddrive; then make a folder in my movies foler; that essentially links to the hardrive; so that I can watch them in front row?

I only have a 60G harddrive on here; and an extra 15gigs on the ipod would really help out!

Thanks alot!

Yes, this will work perfectly. I'm doing it on my MBP, except the alias points to a network volume (my desktop, where most of my media is stored). So long as the volume is mounted, it works exactly as expected.
