Can I have iTunes Match on my iPhone down convert?

I kinda wanted to try iTunes Match on my iPhone again (before there were some things i didn't like - how it didn't update my play counts or recently played playlists.) However, one of these i liked about syncing with itunes was the ability to downgrade the songs to 128kps. Is there a way to do that with the iTunes matched songs?i don't think there is, but hopefully i'm wrong
