Seriously. I don't care to see my widgets ever.. i just want to be able to go back in my browser without pressing the stupid buttons in the tool bar.
 
System Preferences > Trackpad > More Gestures > Change the settings for "Swipe between pages" to "Swipe left or right with three fingers".
 
Or, you know, you could use the new gestures for those same actions, which is a two-finger swipe in either direction.
