iPod touch Can I Have some help with the 2.2 ipod touch software update??

I installed the ipod touch 2.2 software update just the other day on my ipod touch 1st gen. I also have installed some apps like remote, and Night Stand, which are small and not major apps. Every time I go on to one of those apps, they close out, and take me back to the main screen. I already reset my ipod. Major apps like Buglife, and sudoku, and safari will open fine. Can someone tell me what is wrong?? Is anyone else having the same problem?? Help!!
