I have two partitions of the same drive on the desktop and I only want one volume to show up. Is it possible?

I've tried a . in front but it won't let me do it.

If it's possible to just unmount it through Disk Utility, I'm sure an AppleScript or terminal code could be created/run and set as a start up item.

If you have two partitions, it's like having two separate drives. You can mount/unmount them individually, or together.

Do you want the second volume mounted or unmounted? In other words, do you want to be able to access files on it?

What are you trying to accomplish?
