Can I image my jailbroken phone to an ipsw

The subject says it. I don't want to test an app to find it broke my phone an I have to re download everything and set up my phone the way I like again. It takes about half a day to do.

I'd rather have an IPSW of my phone in a working state that I can just restore.

that is a good question. i'm interested in the answer as well. seems like if you could, it would be in use, but you never know.
