The title line pretty much says it all. I am wondering if there is a way to install AppleWorks 6.2.9 onto my MacBook Pro. This m/c is a 2011 model and it is currently operating at OS 10.6.8. The AppleWorks application comes on the software disc that came with my eMac, which is 10.4.

I know that iWork is the replacement for AppleWorks, but AW has some very cool features that iWork does not possess to the best of my knowledge. In particular, I am referring to the assistants, such as Home Finance. I really like and use that one quite often. I have installed Pages from the App Store and it is okay, but I'm really not too crazy about it. Thank you, in advance, for your replies.

yes, you can - just ensure you have Rosetta installed first.
(actually, I think when you launch AW for the first time Software Update should advise you of same and go fetch it for you.)
my wife uses AppleWorks all the time in SL and that's one of the reasons she won't be upgrading to Lion for a while since Rosetta is not supported

Thank you for taking the time to reply to my question. That is great news.
