I just bought a Macbook. I assumed I would be able to load Leopard onto my old PowerMac G5 (it meets all requirements). I did this when 10.3 came out and I bought a MacMini, no issues. But when I try I get an error "Mac OSX cannot be installed on this computer".

Any insight?

Thanks

Just so you know, the reason is because the install disks that ship with all the new Intel based computers only work on that model computer. The MacBook disks you have won't even work on an older MacBook or on a MacBook Pro, let alone a non-Intel machine.

And do go buy a copy anyways, it's just good practice.
