Can I install Lion via Firewire on a harddrive? I replaced the harddrive in my late 2006 Macbook Pro so it currently has no OS system. My Tiger cds that came with the computer are scratched and the computer will not read them. Is it possible to install Lion (which i purchased for my Imac) via firewire on the harddrive?

You need to create a 10GB partition on the FW Disk and restore the .dmg bundle to that partition, then boot from it (via Option) for OS install to target HD.
