Can I install new 1600MHZ Ram in June 2009 Macbook MB990LL/A

I took out new RAM that came along with 2012 MACBOOK Pro which is 4gb (2gbX2) 1600mhz ddr3 12800 , so I was wondering if it can installed in June 2009 release Apple Macbook Pro MB990LL/A ?

Ya, nothing is gonna blow up I don't think! if timing not correct it just won't recognize it.

Yea, it should work. Its all DDR3. It will just underclock it.
