I'm currently running iOS 18 Dev Beta 4 on my 15 Pro Max. Can I install watchOS 11 Beta on my Series 7, while keeping watchOS 10.6 on my Ultra 2? I need to make sure watchOS 11 works with my CGM (continuous glucose monitor) and Insulin pump. Thanks in advance!!

Yes. Just make sure to select the correct Apple Watch you would like to update to watchOS 11, and when looking at the settings of your Apple Watch Series 7 select the watchOS 11 developer beta build. On your Apple Watch Ultra leave the beta updates alone and have it set to None in software update.

Only faces and settings may be changed for one Apple Watch at a time, through the Watch app > My watches. Also, try out Apple intelligence if you want, it should not affect watchOS updates.

I can always count on MacRumors forum members to give me the answer. Thanks again!

My series 7 is now on watchOS 11. How‘s your battery situation? My series 7 battery took a hit and depletes power much faster compared to to my Ultra 2 running watchOS 10. How are all of you with Ultra 2 on watchOS 11 faring
in stability and battery life?

Thanks again?!

I do not wear an Apple Watch Ultra as my wrists are too small to fit in, but with my gold stainless steel Apple Watch Series 6 battery life on watchOS 11 beta is quite mixed with me.
Somehow on beta 2 and 4 the battery drain was not an issue, other beta versions (developer betas) my Apple Watch had to be recharged more often. I typically charge it up when I hop in the shower or after watching the Olympics in the evening to prep it for sleep tracking, but when I experience accelerated battery drain I have to charge my watch every time I finish errands or after a workout.

At least it is not as bad unlike my previous and first Apple Watch Series 1; as the screen separated and 6 years of having it, I had to start bringing the charging cable to work and charge it during my lunch break. Otherwise it would be out of battery barely even 3 hours later.

watchOS 10 is like when my Apple Watch was not experiencing these issues in betas 2 and 4, albeit the Optimized Battery Charging kicking in if I charge my watch partway through 50-90%. My battery capacity never dropped and stayed 100% since I bought it.
