Please don't ask "why in the world would I install Windows 8"
Anyway, I managed to install Windows 7 x64 on Boot Camp 4 on MacBook early-2008 (4,1), despite Apple denying it. I had to use administrator command prompt to get to the Boot Camp 64-bit MSI, and run that. I couldn't just run the main installer executable, it would say "unsupported on this computer model". So I installed by that MSI, and it works perfectly. It even has decent battery life, unlike Windows XP (still worse than OSX Snow Leopard, but about as bad as OSX Lion on this laptop).
I wonder: can I apply a similar trick to install Windows 8 x64 here? I understand that it uses Boot Camp 5...
