Hi,
I am using a 10.9.5 on a production Macbook Pro primary SSD but want to setup Yosemite on the secondary, internal SSD drive(installed on DVD enclosure using disk doubler).
I want to customize my Yosemite install on the secondary drive, take a disk image of it using Carbon Copy Cloner or Superduper and then install the disk image on my primary SSD when most of my apps have been updated to Yosemite.
Will this work and are there any tips you might have?
Do I need to make the disk image bootable or will a direct install of the disk image work?
Thanks.
