macOS can I integrate a chat server application created with IMService?

Hi all,

I want to implement instant messaging in my application. I have done some analysis of IMService class and I have found that it can support services provided by: AIM, Mac.com, Jabber, Google Talk.
What I am thinking is to create some chat server application and integrate it with IMService, but first of all I want to know - is it possible or I have to create some client application for it ??
