Hey I just picked up an original iPad and wanted to try out jail breaking it. I already updated it to 4.3. I was wondering if there is a way to jailbreak it or downgrade it. I searched for an answer but I am new to all of this and just wanted to make sure.

Thanks for your help everyone.

Should not have upgraded, why in the world would you upgrade before jailbreaking! Man!

Yeah I know, was just setting everything up and didn't even think about it after the fact. So do I just need to wait?

You have no choice.
Considering you didn't think before you updated, you might want to rethink jb. You actually have to be careful with your jb.
In the meanwhile, do something smart and d/l tiny umbrella. Save your blobs.

Lol thank. But yes I would be careful. Obviously I'm trying to be since I'm asking thes questions, instead of just running out there and trying to jailbreak my iPad using a method for iOS 2.0.

I was considering trying a tethered jailbreak since that seems to be the only method out.

Do you guys think they will come out with a untethered or are the chances better for them waiting until 4.3.1 because of the new security in place?

Thanks

They will definitely wait until after 4.3.1 is released. Would be stupid not to.
