I have 2 externals, one newer which uses usb-c and an older that has usb 3.0.
if I buy this USB Type-C to Micro-B 3.1 cable, something like this
https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics...o+Micro+B&qid=1578609080&s=electronics&sr=1-3
will the older/slower harddrive transfer at usb-c type speeds or will it still be usb 3.0 speed? Basically, is the speed determined by the hard drive or the cable?
