I'm looking at purchasing a used powerbook soon, and the owner was kind enough to share the serial number with me. Can I look up the history of the computer on apple's website? If not, can I call to get the history?

I'm looking for any warranty work, etc. that might indicate I'm buying a dud.

www.apple.com/support

near the bottom right there is a section where u can type in the serial number and it will tell you if the warranty has passed or not

Already did that. I'm looking to see if any claims have been made in the past by the original owner.
