Can I make Safari default to one size bigger?

This feels like a silly question that'll have a stupidly simple answer but....

My ideal size for most web pages is whatever Safari throws up plus one tap of command+. Can I make this the default somehow?

Tried messing around with the Appearance setting in Safari preferences but that doesn't really do what I want.
