This is a bit of a specific usecase quesiton, I'm a PhD student doing a compuntatally-intensive Biology PhD. So I have an iphone 14 pro and a macbook air (16/512) right now, but I am thinking about selling it and building a PC for a very specific usecase. I'm doing RNAseq alignment mostly using the STAR aligner and need >= 128gb of ram for genome alignment, and macs don't offer this without paying $$$. So the plan is to sell this macbook and build a pc with 128gb ram/i5 13th gen.

But my question is will I be able to cast chrome remote desktop to an apple TV 4k? The lab that I am working in uses this for meetings and this woud be helpful every now and then. Powerpoint works just fine but I'm not sure about chrome remote desktop.

So you want to use the Chrome Remote Desktop on your iPhone to remote into the new PC, and view that via AirPlay? I’ve not tried it but if you have Chrome Remote Desktop set up, it should be simple to test.
