I cannot delete the mac mail application. mac mail is driving me nuts. Sometimes I forget the insane pop up which starts everytime I send email from it and I am thereafter plagued by the horrible little postage stamp icon which keeps jumping up even after I enter my password and whatever else it wants.

Please someone help me! TIA

Huh? Just don't use it and make sure your email client of choice is set as the default, then you'll have no issues.

What an incredibly bad idea! If you don't like looking at the Mail icon in the Dock, then drag it off. Poof! The puff of smoke means that your Dock is Mail-free. But, remove Mail? Perish the thought. Mail performs systems functions. Its preferences pane is where you select your default email client.

Word to the Wise: Learn how to use your system before making ill-advised modifications to it. Removing standard applications are ill-advised by definition.
