Apple TV will do what you want, or some other Media HDDs, that have HDMi, component or other video and audio outputs. Maybe you find something via MRoogle on this topic.

Not sure it will allow me to store iTunes on it though, seems they all use some version of their own software to store files... Ideally want to store my massive iTunes on a seperate hard drive and still be able to take it around to my mates house to watch films on his TV.
