I currently have a Netgear wired router, but want to add airtunes and wireless.
Can I plug the Airport Express into the netgear router with an ethernet cable, or does it have to be an addition to an existing wireless network? Also, I assume the Airport Express has a built in ADSL modem like my Netgear router, so will it accept its inbuilt modem being bypassed?
Sorry if these questions seem a bit basic, but I tried searching and couldn't find anything, and I'm completely useless with networking.
One more question. I have my music ripped in apple lossless format, so will there be a decrease in sound quality vs. just plugging a mini jack lead into the headphone output of my macbook pro?
Thanks for your help.
