Can I protect a folder from deletion, but add files?

To clarify, I just deleted a video folder that is too big for my time machine so I did not protect. Can I set a permissions to a folder to allows a write privilege but not a delete or trash privilege?

BTW, I was able to retrieve 700 GBs out of a 900 GBs of video lost through various recovery programs including Data Rescue 3 & Stellar Data Recovery
and Wondershare Data Recovery.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated to help this from ever happening again :)
