Can I put iFile on a MacBook Pro

Greetings all-
I've tried repeatedly to use iMovie on my MacBook Pro OS X Lion 10.7.4. I've come to the conclusion it sucks.

I had iDVD on my old macbook laptop and liked it. I downloaded iDVD, but it does not work on my laptop. I read that it will work if I install iFile on my macbook pro.

Wondering if anyone can tell me if this will work or if there is some other way to get iDVD to work on my macbook pro lion??
