Hi, I have an iPod Touch 2nd Gen and ipsw.me says I can downgrade it to iOS 2.1.1, but will it actually work? I do not want to risk my music incase it doesn't work. Thanks.

You can upgrade without risking your music, but downgrading always erases everything. You still have the music on the computer that syncs to the iPod, so a sync afterwards should work.

Well technically not. If you just click check for update. And select the ipsw from there. But sometimes files don't work. Music should work. But downgrading in iOS 9 and 8 in my experience have had trouble syncing music back on.
