I don't think anyone has had a problem doing it before.

cool , i plan to make short video about my trip first time waiting in line purchasing an iphone 6 at apple store and shared on youtube -

My 2 cents is ask first. Film second, even in public places that involve people. And stay away from commercial/advertisement filming of people, that would get yourself in trouble.

if i see more than 5 people recording for fun then i do it , if no one do it then i dont do it ,,,

inline too many people how camera cover only out self that cant do -....

like i said if someone do it i do it if no one do it then i dont do it

just fans apple what a big deal

Lots of people will be doing it, no-one will notice or care

Yes you can.

No you don't need a waiver from anyone.

Except some people to a you ask you to stop.

Mall security can ask you to leave. If you refuse, you can be arrested.

Malls and the inside of Apple Stores are private property. You can try to film people here, but, if anyone asks you to stop they are within their rights while you are on private property with them. So be courteous in this instance.

If you are standing on a public sidewalk and filming the Apple store exterior, including people waiting in line, that's a different story. You may film from this vantage point all you want.

Why the need to film others though?

Why not? If he isn't getting monetized he can film whoever he wants in a public space. In fact he can probably do it even if he is getting paid. News crews do it all the time.

I see at least one person filming the Apple launch every year no matter where I am.

do people getting happyness like this pic on this friday ?????/

Some people might not want it know they were in line Friday, like anyone missing work to do it. I'd ask the crowd / let them know my intentions so when filming anyone not wanting to be seen can turn their back to the camera.
