Ok, so basically I was at a festival this weekend and I (stupidly) recorded all my videos and photos on my snapchat story and then saved them all in one big montage at the end of each day... Or at least so was the plan. When i got home yesterday I sat down to look at all my photos and saved stories only to find that they had only saved on one day, so basically 3 days worth of memories are gone.
Ive looked it up and can see that there are apps that you can get to recover snapchats but it seems that you have to have downloaded the app beforehand and it also seems that you can only use it (creepily) for saving other peoples snaps, not your own. I can also see that there are ways of using file browsing apps to recover expired snaps as they are apparently saved in some secret file in your phone, but again it seems mainly aimed at other peoples snaps and there isn't much info on it either and a lot of conflicting articles.
I have tried downloading iExplorer as per one article but Snapchats info is locked and i don't know enough to search through these secret files aimlessly.
Is there ANY way I can get my own stories back? and if there is, could you give me a fairly detailed description of what to download and where to look?! thank you so much in advance.
(i have an iPhone 6 if this is any help)
