can i redeem for a free itouch??? help

So i have a few questions for some experienced mac buyers, or just someone who knows the system.

so i bought a new macbook about 2-3 months ago, and i did not get any kind of rebates or discounts (except my student one). well recently they came out with this new GET A FREE ITOUCH! with your mac, and i was just wondering if i could still redeem it from my last macbook purchase and get a free ipod touch, which would be awesome. does anyone know if this would work>?< or how i could get it to.

Nope, both macbook and ipod touch must be bought within the rebate window.

No you can't, and I also believe that they each have to be purchased at the same time in order to get the rebate.
