Can i remove this garbage program? It slows down my new mbr 13 to a crawl when importing or copying or doing anything. my library size is like 6 gbs but still i want it gone. picasa is ok for now but the program looks like 2003.

You may do what you want, but what you are saying is nonsense. I strongly recommend to newbies that they learn how to use their computers before they remove bundled applications such as iPhoto. If your iPhoto Library is 6 GB in size, then that is because you have 1000s of photographs stored there.
