Can i replace an iPhone 4's home button with a 3gs one ?

The home button of my iPhone 4 isn't as healthy and responsive as it used to be so i actived assistive touch but then i thought i may use the button of my old 3gs that's been collecting dust in a drawer for a while.

Are they compatible ?
