I have a 4 year old imac (isight) that came with a 128 MB ATI Radeon X600 Pro graphics card. I now have translucent cyan stripes - sort of like bar codes - all over everything and it seems the graphics card is going. The card in the computer is no longer sold - at least I cannot find one for a mac, and I have not been able to figure out from various specs of newer cards what is compatible with my computer. Can anyone help me on this?

thank you,
Pat

First of all iSight iMac G5 model is just turning 3 years old late Fall.

Secondly, the graphics card is soldered into the motherboard, rendering it irreplaceable.

thank you, sob

Thank you for the information - no wonder I couldn't find one.

I was making myself feel better thinking that the computer was four years old - it is definitely an i-sight model, and you're telling me it is not even three. That's poor performance for what was not a cheap computer.

my mother always told me - "pretty is as pretty does."

ever onward,
Pat
