My iPhone just broke the lock button is stuck and doesn't work anymore. She said it will be replaced. But, can I replace it with the iPhone 5 if I pay the difference? If not, the iPhone is black, could I get my iPhone replaced with a white one? PLEASE HELP! :(

The short answer is no, on both questions. They're completely different products and Apple/AT&T/Verizon will view it like you have a 2011 Honda Accord and want to replace it with a 2012 because the drivetrain is busted.

Yeah, same car model, but totally different in it's own respect.

Aww! But, On the apple canada website it says that the white and black iPhone model numbers are the same.. :/

Why do these threads keep coming up? You bought an iPhone 4 so you get a replacement iPhone 4. Same goes for every product you will buy in your lifetime.

No on either questions.
This came up a hundred times.
You can only get the same model, same storage and color.

While I agree with you (and everyone else on this subject), there is one caveat. If you've got a 3GS 16 or 32 GB and you need it replaced, won't they replace it with a 8 GB? Or do they still have 16 and 32 GB 3GS laying around for warranty purposes? I honestly don't know.

Most places still have some for replacements but if they don't they can order one and notify you when it arrives at the store.

They will have them available.
