Can I reserve TMobile phone instead of ATT for Apple upgrade program?

For some reason the AT&T version 128GB Space Gray 6S is sold out in Atlanta. At least was when I booked at 10:22am this morning.

Since the Apple Upgrade program phones are supposed to be unlocked and contract free, I ordered the T-Mobile version instead.

The question is will they be okay with this when I show up and want to activate it on my AT&T account? Also will the TMobile and AT&T phones be the same phone?

you can only do the apple upgrade program with your current carrier or a new line.

You also have to be post paid
