I used to have a mac mini on snow leopard and did a Time machine backup. Now I just picked up a macbook pro on leopard and would like to know whether the snow leopard back up will work on this.

I have not got the snow leopard disk anymore, but im sure I can get it, was just wondering if I even needed to.

Appreciate any help

You can restore your apps and files from that backup but it cannot be used for restoring the OS X. If you still had the Mini, you could clone its HD with CCC and that should work. Anyway, 10.6 is only 29 bucks

Wow, thanks for the reply.

Oh, I see. So i can get my mail, office and creative suite back.

Forums are better than i hoped
