Probably a stupid question but I was just wondering if that was possible. Would save me a lot of time rather then reinstalling every app and moving all my media.

Thanks in advance! :apple:

If you used time machine to back up EVERYTHING. Including system files there might be a problem since the Mac Pro has different system files than the iMac.

The migration assistant works great for transferring time machine data. I used it to migrate from my macbook pro to macbook air and it was perfect. All my applications and data transferred with a click. Two hours later and I was looking at an identical OS configuration on a different machine.
