I have bought a second hand iMac which has Snow Leopard installed. The former owner deleted his personal data and I have kept on using his installation without any problems.

The only thing I noticed is missing are many of the default Desktop backgrounds and in the corresponding /Library directory they are not there at all.

I would like to retrieve the default desktop images and would like to know if there's a way to extract them from the original OS disk. In case this is not possible is there any other way ?

Thank you

Wow, you're very trusting using an OS that someone could have tampered with in any number of ways.
