Last night I decided to subscribe to the 200GB/mo plan and use the cloud for photos to reclaim some space. I also began the upload process on my iMac so that I could view all my photos across devices.

Since all of the photos are now merging in the cloud into the "all photos" folder, I am finding that it may be an issue when looking through my camera roll to find a pic I need (as the photos on my iMac are completely separate from the ones on my phone and more event based and rarely looked at).

What happens when I turn iCloud off? Will my photos go back to their respective devices or have a permanently merged albums? This is also a concern because if I have all of the pics go back to full res on my iPhone (including the ones from the iMac), it will take up way more space than is available.

Thanks in advance!
