I have an iPhone 3G (waiting for the 5) and I find that my memory is being eaten up and I'd like to revert back to 3. I don't jailbreak, so I am wondering if this is possible? Thanks.

For iPhone 3G, you can downgrade to 3.1.3 without SHSH. In fact, that's the best (stable, snappy) iOS for 3G.

Thanks dangerous. That method uses restore and I'd rather not do that at this time.

But if this is a common issue with3g users, why doesn't apple simply offer a rollback in iOS software? Seems silly to me. Also seems silly that this community would be so snippy and rude in response to a simple inquiry.

You see, a lot of questions being ask here is a matter of 1 or 2 min googleing.

As i said, you DON'T need SHSH to downgrade iphone 3G to 3.1.3. It's silly to me that you can't even understand what i posted earlier when i am giving you a direct answer.
