I recently got a late 2011 Macbook Pro (Intel Core i7, running OS 10.7.4). On my previous MacBook Pro, I ran two external Apple monitors. One was connected to the Mini Display port. The other was run from a USB connection, using a Diamond DisplayLink (model BVUU195) connected to an Atlona (AT-DP200) DVI to Mini DisplayPort converter. I had found this configuration on the internet and it worked pretty well. With the new MacBook Pro, which has a Thunderbolt connection, I cannot run the monitor that was previously connected to the USB with the previously mentioned adapters. I downloaded the driver for DisplayLink and everything. The display acts dead. I cannot afford to buy two new Thunderbolt monitors, which is one solution to my problem. Anyone have advice?
