I got a late macbook unibody last sat my first mac :)I bumped it up to 4 gig of ram (read in theory I read I can bump it to 8 gig) I was wondering can I run final cut on it?

We are running Final Cut Express on a six-year old intel MBP. Slow, but works. You should not have a problem with new one. 4-gb is a good thing to have. Suggest you add a larger monitor.

Yes, and why don't you read the specs for the program?
