Can I run the iOS update un-jb'd and just jb once the untethered comes out?

Hi Gang :)

I really cant wait to run slingplayer mobile for iPad and unless the untethered is coming out REAL soon... I'm thinking of getting the official update and jb'ing when it comes out.

I have my blobs backed up, so could doing this cause major issues? Or excessive hassle once an un-tethered jb comes out?
