I'm interested in the 27" LED Cinema Display (not the Thunderbolt display), I'd like to know if I'll be able to run it on my mid-2010 Mac Pro.
The thing is, my Mac doesn't have Mini DisplayPort, which the display uses, because I'm using an HD 4870 graphics card. (so instead of having DVI and 2x MDP I have 2x DVI)

I'm not doing any graphics/3D sort of stuff (the Mac is used for music production), but now I was wondering if it will be able to run the 27" screen with the big resolution. Especially if I have to get a MDP to DVI adapter too. (in case that works at all…)

Thanks a lot!

After further research, I can't seem to find a DVI to mini Displayport adapter. Only the other way around. The description always tells something like… blabla to connect your Mac with mini display port to your monitor with DVI…

For me it's the other way around. Oh don't tell me I can't connect a 27" Cinema Display to a Mac Pro? :)
