Can I safely delete iPhoto library?

Hello,

I migrated from iPhoto to Photos as soon as it was released. Are all the photos from iPhoto stored in photos library? If so can I safely delete the iPhoto library and the app? The library is about 70gb.

Actually, the link indicates that you can delete the old iPhoto library. I did this after migrating to Photos. Keep in mind that once it is done, you won't be able to go back to using iPhoto. Also, you won't gain much disk space by deleting it, since the photos are stored as links in the old library. I think I recovered about 2-3 GB from a 40Gb library.
