Did anyone buy online mac, with apple educational pricing? Need help in buying online macbook air with apple educational pricing. What do i need to use this pricing method? Please help, cause i want to buy mac, with help of my friend,who is in states currently)
He is from Ukraine, on vocation in states, but he is not college student yet. Just enter address and name of high school? I tried it and it kind a work. Need advice.Thanks for help!

If he isn't a college student then the education store isn't for him. If he's planning on becoming a college student in the US then wait until he's accepted to a college and then put in the name of the college to the education store.
 
I understand that, but i wonder how apple check if u are college student, if u are buying online? And obviously he will buy using his parents credit card...
 
they don't check...

true they don't check everybody, but they do audit some purchases. They'll ask you to send them a copy of an ID or something proving your student status. If you can't provide the documents they want then they go ahead and charge your card the difference in prices ...which is something you've already agreed to when you were clicking away making your purchase.

Don't know what percent of purchases they audit tho
 
I want to switch on MAC OS, all my life i've been PC user, so as 95% or even more of people living in my country, for us, the price u pay for mac, it's kind a crazy money, and i want to get the most from this deal....and i don't think apple would loose money on me )) thanks for everybody for advises.
