I’m wondering if there’s any way for me to send a 3 page fax to someone via my iPhone? I live in a rural part of the state and there’s only one public business to send faxes but they have wonky hours and are ridiculously priced.

Considering the iPhone is great at capturing scanned documents an wondering if there is a legit solution to send a fax with iPhone?

EasyFax app has worked well for me. Crazy this day and age places still ask for faxes but this app has come in handy.

How do these fax apps work? Do they route through a proxy, or is it possible to send a programmed audio signal through the iPhone voice interface?

Who is receiving the fax? 1971?
They should have a write only 'drop-box' or email to handle inbound 'faxes'.

Some businesses have it in their heads that faxes are more secure. I've tried to explain that the fax machine left on the truck with my VHS player and answering machine, and I'd prefer to send an encrypted PDF if I may, but they weren't having it.

Most fax apps (at least in the past) are services. The file gets uploaded to a server that converts it to a faxible page and the server software dials the number and sends the fax

Unfortunately for official documents, some companies don’t take anything but fax and in person stuff. Stupid, I know. Simple phone scanner and email is far superior.
