Apologies if this has been asked previously, I haven't done an online pre-order in many years (usually just go to the store the day of launch) so I've got a few questions.

I plan on pre-ordering the 12 Pro Max this Friday however I will be going of town on Saturday and will be gone for 3 weeks which means I won't be home on launch/delivery day. My question is, with either Apple or Verizon, can I set a different delivery address (it will be a family member's house that I will be staying at) during the checkout out process? Or can I change my account billing address before hand and then it would get sent to that address?

If not, the alternative would be to again go wait in line on launch day but with COVID I have no clue what that looks these days (and where I'm going only has 1 local Verizon store... Apple is 2 hours away). Anyone have any feedback on in-store launch day experience this year (availability, wait time, etc)?

Thanks in advance!

If you are pre-ordering a carrier model, you will need to change the billing address first from their website and then after that you can order on Apple.com using your carrier info as it will pull the billing info from your carrier. Do you plan on buying it outright? Or on a payment plan?

After my recent experience with Pre-ordering the 12 Pro, I was very disappointed at Apple for having plenty of inventory on launch day, but didn't ship mine out even though I paid for a week in advance.

Next year, I'll skip the pre-ordering since Apple does not care that a person who pays ahead of time gets lower priority than one who just walks into an Apple store (with reservation) and walks out.

I did just that - got the same exact phone on launch weekend.

Just received the pre order phone from UPS but will be returning it on their dime for treating me so poorly.

I will be doing a device payment plan. Does my credit card billing address need to match as well?

my billing and shipping addresses do not match. Even the name is different.
Apple ships to my shipping address just fine.
