So I bought Thermaltake BlacX duet docking station and have put 2 1TB drives on it as desktop storage station. I know physically if I take DVD smart drive out, I can put in another SSD and RAID the two SSDs or reg. hard drives.

HOWEVER, when I connect my BlacX via 1 usb cable to my MBP, it shows me BOTH drives in Disk Utility. I wonder if someone has tried to RAID 1 the drives connected via USB in OS X ?

Im trying to play with it, but the risk I run is 600 GB of data being messed. (im gonna back it up on a third device in case the RAID 1 doesnt work out, but still , its lots of data and takes soo much time to backup/copy). Anyone with 2 identical USB flash drives wanna play with this setting for me ? Connecting two USBs and trying to RAID1 or RAID 0 in the OS X Disk Utility for me ???

Thanks in Advance.
