Apologies if this is not in the correct section.

I have an iPhone 4 and a original iPad, when I sync them through iTunes, the apps/music etc. etc. that I have for my iPhone try to install on my iPad and vice vera. I don't want this to happen.

Is there anyway that I can setup a separate profile in iTunes? one for my iPhone and the other for the iPad

Thanks in advance

You can have the iPhone and iPad sync with different sets of apps, music, movies etc in iTunes. You will just need to check what you want to sync for each devices under each categories within iTunes.

Yes, with a device connected, go to the Apps tab in iTunes and check/uncheck the desired apps for that device.

Repeat for the other device.

I'm curious on this as well. My GF has an iPhone 4 and I have an iPhone 4. How can I set iTunes to prevent transferring my apps and info on to her phone and vice versa?

I'd create a separate library. Just hold down Shift (windows) when opening iTunes.

Holy cow, that's a lot more work than you need to do.

It's on the bottom of the 'apps' tab in iTunes when your device is plugged in. Just un-check it for each device. Easy.
