I just ordered a Dell U2720Q monitor that I'll be connecting to both a PC laptop and a MacBook M1 Air - I plant to swap between the two computers using the same monitor.

I currently use an Apple wireless keyboard and Magic Mouse with my MacBook. Is there a way for me to use this same keyboard + mouse between the two computers seamlessly? My monitor has a built-in KVM, wondering if there's a way to use that and perhaps pair a dongle with the keyboard + mouse. Is that possible?

No.
if you want to do that, look for a keyboard & mouse that run off a single RF dongle. Logitech makes some decent ones.

I really really wanted to do something very similar. I found that the Magic Trackpad can be run via a lightning to USB cable which I could plug into my kvm switch along with my apple USB keyboard. I know drivers exist for it on the pc. Problem is that it is a locked down pc for work and I don’t have admin rights. As such the Magic Trackpad only registers a physical click and not even basic right click or scrolling. Is there any way to install a driver or handle this issue without local admin rights on the pc?
